RES launches computer-based testing programme in partnership with Pearson VUE

LONDON, UK, June 5, 2017 – Pearson VUE, the global leader in computer-based testing, has entered into a multi-year agreement with RES, a leading software company that creates, automates and secures digital workspaces, to launch a global computer-based testing programme.

RES helps IT improve the experience and productivity of its internal customers – the workforce – while lowering IT costs and increasing security for the business. RES does this by creating, automating and securing digital workspaces: the assigned digital resources (apps, data, tools and workflows) that people need to get work done at anytime from anywhere. With RES, workers can access the resources they need, and only the resources for which they are approved, based on business objectives and policies, and IT provisioning standards.

The new agreement means that Pearson VUE will deliver the exams at its network of over 5,000 test centres in 180 countries around the world. Pearson VUE’s team of measurement scientists will also work with content matter experts at RES, providing ongoing psychometric support to create valid, fair and reliable exam content.

Matthew Poyiadgi, vice president of Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Pearson VUE, said: “I’m delighted that our new agreement with RES will improve the lives and careers of IT professionals around the world.”

Jocelyn Pedler, senior director of Global Services at RES, said: “We have selected Pearson VUE because of the quality of service they offer and global test centre coverage they provide. Candidates can now complete exams on demand and at a location convenient to them, no longer required to travel long distances for a specific place and time. Offering world-class support and services to our partners and customers is paramount and Pearson VUE allows us to do just that.”
