In response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak and in accordance with local government guidance, Pearson VUE is temporarily closing its mainland China testing centres and suspending exam delivery through our third-party mainland China test centre network.

IFSE Institute is a not-for-profit organization providing best-in-class financial education and support for individuals, firms, and academic institutions. We deliver proficiency exams to professionals in the Canadian investment and insurance industries.

Before scheduling your exam, you must have already:

  • Enrolled into the applicable course and exam through IFSE’s website
  • Have an “Active” exam status under the EXAMS link on your IFSE student desktop
  • Received an “Important Exam Information” email from IFSE

Test Accommodations

If you need special accommodations during your exam please contact IFSE Institute for approval BEFORE scheduling your exam appointment with Pearson VUE. IFSE will notify you when your special accommodations have been approved. Once approved, you may contact one of Pearson VUE’s Accommodations Scheduling Specialists at 1-800-466-0450 to schedule your exam.

Scheduling, Rescheduling or Cancelling Exam Appointments Online

Follow the instructions from your “Important Exam Information” email to schedule, reschedule or cancel your exam with Pearson VUE.

Exam Appointments may be scheduled, rescheduled or cancelled through the IFSE website.

Requests to schedule, reschedule or cancel an exam appointment must be made at least one business day (24 hour minimum) before your scheduled appointment time. Be sure to click SUBMIT to complete the transaction. You should receive an email confirmation within 24 hours from Pearson VUE when you schedule, reschedule or cancel an appointment. If you do not receive an email, check your account that you completed the transaction. Contact Pearson VUE for assistance.

If you fail to provide sufficient notice of reschedule or cancellation or you do not show up for your exam appointment, you will forfeit the exam attempt and any applicable fees. In addition, IFSE will charge you a no show fee.

On the Testing Date

Arrive at the test center 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This will give you adequate time to complete the necessary sign-in procedures. Please be prepared to show one form of ID, have your digital photo taken and provide a digital signature. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, you may be refused admission and forfeit the exam attempt and any applicable fees. In additional, IFSE will charge you a no show fee.

Non-Disclosure and Code of Conduct Agreement

At the start of your exam, you must read and accept the terms of the IFSE Non-Disclosure Agreement onscreen before continuing with the exam. You will have two (2) minutes to select Accept or Decline. If you do not choose an option in the time given, your exam will end and you must pay for a new authorization with IFSE. Please review the terms of the Non-Disclosure Agreement (37 KB pdf) ) now so you are fully prepared to either Accept or Decline the NDA within the 2 minute window.
